Issue 

The address search field on DataWA maps fails to return any results for common address searches. 

Affects 

All users of DataWA maps from maps.slip.wa.gov.au, including: 

• Locate 
• LandInfo WA 

Description 

Location search on our maps is provided by Esri’s Global Geocoder service. Our investigations indicate that it was recently changed by Esri to require a suburb to be provided as part of the address. Without a suburb the service will return no addresses. 

The issue has been raised to Esri and we are awaiting feedback (June 2018). 

Workaround 

Include the suburb as well as the street address in your query.
